Who we are

This website is run by RYVOK, an electrical subcontracting and domestic electrical business based in Neath, South Wales (“RYVOK”, “we”, “us”). We are responsible for the personal information you share with us through this website.

What information we collect

• Enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number, whether you are a contractor, builder or homeowner, the service you need, your location or postcode, the dates you need us and your message.
• Phone, email and WhatsApp: anything you tell us when you contact us directly.
• Work records: if we go on to work for you, the details we need to quote, carry out, certify and invoice the work.

We don’t use analytics or advertising tracking on this website.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote or confirm our availability.
• To carry out, certify and invoice any work you book with us.
• To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping tax and accounting records.

We will not send you marketing emails, and we never sell your information.

Our legal basis

We use your information because you have asked us to (taking steps before entering a contract), to perform a contract with you, because we have a legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, or because the law requires it.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where we need to, with:

• our website host and email provider, who store and deliver messages for us;
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to message us using the WhatsApp button;
• our accountant, insurers and certification bodies, where needed for work we carry out;
• anyone the law requires us to share it with.

The maps on this site are loaded from OpenStreetMap, and some page code is loaded from cdnjs (Cloudflare). These services receive your IP address so they can deliver the content to your browser.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to work are deleted within 12 months. If we work for you, we keep job and invoice records for six years, as required for tax purposes.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Only cookies needed for the site to work are used.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to send it to you or another organisation. Email info@ryvok.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
